It’s no secret that Nashville is one of the top destinations to travel to in the United States for many reasons! Whether you’re planning your best friends’ bachelorette party, relocating for your career, or stopping by to experience some of the greatest musical talents in the nation, Nashville, Tennessee does not disappoint. For a true Nashville experience, The Opryland Resort and Convention Center is a must-stay. It’s so much more than just a place to rest your head at night! With Opryland’s 9 acres of cascading indoor waterfalls, tropical garden landscapes, twinkling lights and distinct resort experiences, you’re not going to want to miss all that Opryland has to offer!
Here are a handful of things that make Opryland so special, and so much more than just a place to rest your head at night. (To book your stay at Opryland, click here!)
Soundwaves is Opryland’s expansive indoor AND outdoor waterpark. Nestled in between the Garden Conservatory and Magnolia wings, Soundwaves is filled with aquatic attractions for all ages! At Soundwaves, you’ll find a wave pool, lazy river, chill and thrill waterslides, cabana rentals, and even an adults only infinity pool! For more information about Soundwaves click here!
General Jackson Showboat
Opryland is also home to The General Jackson Showboat cruise! On my recent trip to Opryland, my girlfriends and I did the dinner cruise called “Music City Nights” that includes dinner and a show about the history of Nashville’s famous nightlife. Fun, entertaining, and informative, are three words that come to mind for this experience! For show times, a dinner menu, and more information about The General Jackson Showboat Cruise click here!
Delta Riverboat Tour
The Delta Riverboat Tours are so much fun! This tour takes you on a 4.5 acre tour, lasting about 15 minutes, throughout the Delta Atrium. Here, you’ll hop on a Delta Riverboat and learn about the property, plants, fish, and resort activities. To reserve your Delta Riverboat Tour, click here!
On-Site Dining, Entertainment, and Attractions
Opryland has 19 on-site dining options ranging from upscale steakhouses, to sushi, to a Starbucks coffee café, to a sports bar with live entertainment! Whatever you’re hungry for, you’ll be able to find on-site at Opryland! My personal favorite place to dine, is Cascades. Characterized by its location and full-view of the garden atrium, Cascades is a must-do while you’re staying at Opryland! For a full list of dining options, click here.
Opryland is also widely known for it’s seasonal attractions and activities. Currently for Fall, Opryland has their Goblins and Giggles activation with activities such as their “Spookyeasy” bar, a Haunted Hidden Treasure Escape Room, a Jack-o’-lantern walk, and a trick-or-treat expedition for the kiddos.
Hurry in to grab your creepy cocktails and get your Monster Mash Bash on, because on November 12th, Opryland will kick off their famed winterscape called “A Country Christmas!”
This exhibit is by far my favorite time of year at Opryland! As soon as you step foot onto the property, you’ll transcend into a whimsical winter wonderland.
As Buddy The Elf would say, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” That’s why you’ll find not only Christmas carolers, but ice tubing, bumper cars, ice skating, horse and carriage rides, photos with Santa, a gingerbread decorating center, and an extensive Christmas lights display when you visit Opryland for A Country Christmas!
