My Everyday Makeup Products

Skincare is SO important! It’s one of those things that I know is extremely important but sometimes I’m not the best at keeping a consistent routine that includes all of the steps. So, I’ll tell you my basic skincare routine that’s 4 steps and super easy! I notice a huge difference when I’m consistent with this routine and it’s super simple: cleanse, remove access makeup, tone, and moisturize.

I use First Aid Beauty for all four of these steps, making it quick and easy to refill when I need! Here’s all that you’ll need below!

I use the NYX pore filling primer for enlarged pores. This primer helps fill in the areas that I need the most help with, making my face a more smooth surface to work with. If you have dry or oily skin, I would recommend personalizing your primer routine to what the different areas of your face needs. I’ve heard people using up to 4 different primers on different areas of their face to achieve a flawless surface!

I use lots of foundations! I have my special occasion foundation, my workout foundation and my everyday foundation, haha! I usually save my more expensive foundations for date nights or girls’ nights and use my more inexpensive foundations for everyday use. Here’s my breakdown of what that exactly looks like:

Special Occasion Foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear ($43) and Sephora’s Perfect Mist Air Brush Foundation ($28). Both of these are full coverage and make me feel like I’m red carpet ready!

Everyday Foundation: IT Cosmetics ($39). This stuff is amazing. I’ve been using this for about a month now and it’s full coverage, but feels LIGHT! I turned 30 this year so I was searching for a full coverage foundation that wasn’t too thick and cakey. And this is it!

Workout Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me Matte ($6). SIX DOLLARS! Need I say more?! This is a great medium to full coverage drug store option!

If you’re looking for a Tarte Shape Tape dupe, I found it! It’s called Covergirl True Blend Concealer ($8).

Bronzer, Blush and Highlighter

I’ve been using Too Faced Bronzer for years now and I love this stuff! I use the Chocolate Soleil shade ($32) and it actually smells like chocolate. LOVE. My bronzer is matte, so I’ll go in with a light stroke of highlighter every once in a while to add a little glow. I use Maybelline’s Master Chrome in Rose Gold ($8). And for blush, I have been using a mixture of Sephora’s Flirt it Up Blush ($15) and the Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Peach ($8), which tends to resemble the Nars blush, Orgasm color ($30).

Eyeshadow and Liner

I swear by the Tartelette palettes for shadows! ($39) I always find the best warm and cool, matte and shimmer neutral shadows. For liner, I will either take a darker shadow to swipe across my lash line, or use my timeless Stila Liquid Liner for a slightly winged look ($22).

Brows and Lashes

If you are an ashy or platinum blonde, you NEED the NYX taupe eye brow pencil ($10). I had the hardest time finding a blonde tone that wasn’t too warm or orangey. And again, this is it! For lashes, I’ve used the Benefit They’re Real mascara ($25) for a number of years. I love how it gives a super thick, gel-like appearance. I recently found the Anastasia Lash Brag ($25) and loved how it separated my lashes and made them look whispy and feathery. So I’ve started to combine these two, using Lash Brag to separate and They’re Real to plump and thicken my lashes! On occasion I’ll use my L’Oreal Voluminous lash primer ($7) to add some extra volume.

You know when your favorite lip color is discontinued and you’re at a loss for words?! Yes. That happened to me this year. I was o b s e s s e d with Buxom’s Naturally Daring matte lipstick and now it’s gone… forever. So, needless to say, I’ve been experimenting with other brands and colors. I have TONS that I like, but none that are my absolutely, have-to-have. My lip colors usually stay in the matte and nude pinks. Although for the holidays I’ll do a pop of a more pigmented berry color!

Here’s my review on a few! I’ll report back on what I find at Sephora today;)

***UPDATE: My Sephora find is my TOP PICK. I’d rate this 10/10 in all categories- Long-lasting, matte-finish, moisturizing, amazing shade selection and price***

I hope you guys love this as much as I do! It’s Anastasia’s Matte Lipstick in the shade Petal. This is priced at $18 and is worth every penny!

My two favorite liners are NYX Nude Pink Daphne Liner ($4) and Makeup Forever’s Wherever Walnut ($18). Daphne pink is a great light liner whereas Wherever Walnut is a bit darker.

Covergirl Melting Pout Matte in colors Ballerina, Coral Chronicles, and Secret ($7) : Amazing, non-smudge matte. It’s mask-proof for sure but can become drying after a few hours.

Too Faced Melted Matte in color My Type ($22): This has similar properties to the Covergirl Melting Pout Matte, however, it is longer lasting.

Wet N Wild Matte Mat in color Bare It All ($3): LOVE this matte lipstick. It has a smooth application and is hydrating, however it does move and is not long lasting.

Milani Bold Matte in color I Am Awesome ($5): This one is GOOD! It also has a smooth application and tends to feel hydrating, as well! I love this one because it has what I look for in a matte lipstick: hydrating, doesn’t move much, and goes on smoothly! Definitely a great drug store option!

L’ Oreal Color Riche in color Fairest Nude ($5): Another great drug store find. This color definitely leans on the darker side of a nude pink. It smooth and hydrating but tends to move with a mask.
