It’s December 1, friends! WOOHOO! That means only 25 more sleeps until Christmas Day!
This year is an especially special year for me because it’s my very first Christmas being married, getting a tree with my husband, and starting what will be our family’s traditions! I knew that I would shop ‘til I dropped with champagne, gold and silver sparkly things. And that’s exactly what I did.
I wanted to share with you all the goods I found and how I decorated a few spaces in my 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in Downtown Nashville! I LOVE how everything turned out and I’m super excited to use these classic and timeless items for years to come!
The first area I decorated was our tv stand area in our living room. I included everything from reindeer sparkled in gold; to battery operated, light-up, ceramic houses; to shimmering, champagne, bristly Christmas trees; to knit stockings and more!
Next up was the coffee table in our living room! I love this cute little area. I had found this adorable little nativity set last year, but I didn’t purchase it…. And I ended up talking about how I wish I had grabbed it when I saw it because I absolutely LOVED it for the entirety of 2019. Well, sure enough, I went back and found it this year! Some things are just meant to be!
The next area I decorated was our kitchen island area. I added a Christmas scented candle and a small flocked tree to give that area a quaint Christmas feel!
I could not let this Christmas pass without an advent calendar. Growing up, my older brother and I would alternate days (AKA fight everyday about whose day is was) for who got to change the advent calendar. Back in the day, my mom had a hanging green calendar with a little mouse that hopped from pocket-to-pocket until we reached Christmas Day!
My advent calendar looks a little different this year and is accompanied by Drew and I’s “special ornament” tree. Since we didn’t have many personal ornaments to hang together, we chose to decorate this smaller tree with our ornaments we had collected from our travels and trips over the past couple of years!
I hope this post leaves you feeling inspired to decorate your space and enjoy all of the little things that makes Christmas time so special!
